What are Zip and Link Beds?

A Zip and Link Bed is a flexible sleeping solution that can be split into two single beds in seconds. This clever design allows the bed to transform into separate twin beds, making it ideal for accommodating guests and maximising space in a room. The bed frame, divan bed base or ottoman bed comes with a zip and link mattress. The two mattresses are connected by a central zip so you can convert from a king size bed or Super King to two singles. Perfect for couples with different sleep needs and preferences and for getting through tight spaces when moving.

Zip and Link Bed Benefits

Zip and Link Beds have many benefits making them ideal for many situations. A super king sized bed can be easily transformed into two single beds, enhancing flexibility in room configurations. Their flexibility and convenience allows you to change the guest room dynamics in seconds, perfect for hotels, guest houses, bed and breakfasts, holiday parks and holiday letting. You can re-arrange the beds in seconds to convert a double room into a twin room to cater for different guest preferences. You can also choose different firmness levels for each side so every guest can be comfortable.

Easy Room Transformation

A Zip and Link Bed is an excellent solution for easy room transformation. With its unique design, it can be quickly and easily separated into two single beds, allowing you to change the dynamics of a room in seconds. This flexibility is ideal for hotels, guest houses, and bed and breakfasts, where rooms need to be adapted to accommodate different types of guests. Whether you need to convert a double room into a twin room or vice versa, a Zip and Link Bed makes it easy to do so. This adaptability ensures that you can cater to the diverse needs of your guests, providing a comfortable and convenient sleeping arrangement for everyone.

Flexible Sleeping Requirements

Zip and Link Beds cater to couples with different sleeping preferences, providing flexibility in terms of sleeping positions, comfort styles, and body weight. The option of selecting two different types of mattresses allows for a tailored level of firmness for individual comfort preferences. This means that one partner can choose a softer mattress, while the other prefers a firmer one, ensuring that both partners get a comfortable night’s sleep. This customisation is particularly beneficial for couples with varying sleep needs, as it allows each person to enjoy a restful and undisturbed night, enhancing overall sleep quality.

Zip and Link Mattress Types

Zip and Link Mattresses come in king and super king sizes and can be customised to your individual sleep needs. Compared to a larger double bed, zip and link beds facilitate easier movement and assembly, making them a practical choice for settings where navigating larger items can be problematic. These mattresses are two separate mattresses that zip together to form one mattress. This allows for choice of different materials and firmness levels. Popular types of zip and link mattresses are coil sprung, pocket sprung and memory foam. Also materials like orthopaedic, iGel temperature regulating and eco latex to cater for different sleep preferences so you can sleep soundly.

How to Choose a Zip and Link Bed?

Choosing the right Zip and Link Bed involves considering a few things to meet your individual sleep needs and preferences. Couples with different sleep habits can benefit from the customisation options with zip and link beds. Consider the size of the bed, king and super king sizes are available. Consider the type of mattress material and firmness, orthopaedic, iGel temperature regulating and eco latex are options. By choosing the right combination you can sleep comfortably.

How do Zip and Link Beds work?

Zip and Link beds have two separate mattresses and bases that can be linked or unlinked. The mattresses are joined by a strong, hidden zip in the middle. When zipped together they are a single bed. But the zip and link allows you to unzip them and they become two separate twin beds. Perfect for versatile use, especially in hotels, guest rooms and homes where you need flexibility. The base can also be linked with linking bars to prevent movement when used as one bed.

Are Zip and Link Beds Comfortable?

Yes! Zip and Link beds are designed so there is no compromise on comfort whether used as a single bed or two singles. The zip is discreet and often invisible. You can choose different firmness levels and materials for each side so you can customise the sleeping experience to individual preferences, perfect for couples or guests with different needs. Premium options like memory foam, orthopaedic and temperature regulating mattresses for comfort and support.

Maintenance and Warranty

Maintenance Tips

To ensure that your Zip and Link Bed remains in good condition, regular maintenance is essential. Here are some tips to help you keep your bed in top shape:

  • Regularly vacuum the mattress and bed base to remove dust and dirt.
  • Rotate the mattresses every 3-6 months to ensure even wear and tear.
  • Check the linking bars and zips regularly to ensure they are secure and functioning properly.
  • Avoid overloading the bed with too much weight, as this can cause damage to the bed frame and mattresses.

By following these simple maintenance steps, you can extend the life of your zip and link bed and ensure it continues to provide a comfortable and supportive sleeping environment.
